Minister of Electricity and reprehensive of Indian Embassy discussed the cooperation in the power sector.

Engineer Ghassan Zamil and the reprehensive of the Indian Embassy in Damascus, discussed strengthening cooperation between these two friendly countries 
despite the war waged by the West against our country Syria during the meeting which was held today at the Foreign Ministry building .
Engineer Ghassan Zamil pointed out that he hopes to strengthen cooperation and deepen relations with India in all fields, including the power sector and renewable energy technology.

The Minister of Electricity stated that there are many investment opportunities in the power sector
He pointed out that the ministry is prepared to cooperate with Indian companies and emphasized that Syria is a member of the Solar Alliance.
In this context, the India-Syria Initiative for Sustainable Energy Development and Improving Energy Efficiency will be launched.

The two sites also discussed the necessity of adding advanced training programs to enhance the abilities of personnel in the power industry.
In addition to, collaborating with Indian companies as a major investor on renewable energy projects .
In addition to  cooperation  in the fields of power generation, transmission, and distribution of  power sector.
Pandi pointed out that India has a cultural, economic and technical cooperation program 

as part of the advanced training course, his country is ready to hold more courses needed by the power sector.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Sinjar Toama, the supervisor of the department, and Ali Heva, the director-general engineer of the Public generation  establishment and eng Hissam Melaa the general director of public establishment for generation and distribution of electricity.
