Connecting a 3/ MW solar power station project to the public power grid
The solar power station project with a total capacity of 3/ MW was connected by the private sector In order to ensure the
the productive electricity required by the industrial production sector,
on the roof of Modern Glass Industry Company factory at Hasia Industrial City, Homs Governorate Province.
Minister of Electricity Eng Ghasan Alzamil accompanied by Governor Homs, Eng Nimir Makhlouf, emphasized the importance of this project implemented by the private sector, which support the power sector by reducing dependence on energy from fossil fuels, which is the engine of sustainable development, and pointed out that t this project is the result of laws and legislation encouraging and supporting power generation from traditional and renewable energy sources, which are the government's efforts to provide electricity for renewable energy projects and increase its contribution to energy balance, especially in the industrial sector.
The Minister also praised the efforts of national companies, which enabled the project to be successfully implemented within less than one year after the start of the permit, and pointed out that installing so many solar energy landing devices on the roof of the laboratory was a successful experiment, which was worth popularizing, providing the space needed for installing solar energy landing devices in an innovative way, and ensuring that investors could overcome all obstacles and provide all facilities, because China urgently needed to implement such projects.
It is worth noting that the project includes 5400 solar panels with a capacity of 550 watts, 30 inches, and two 1600 KVA adapters, with a total cost of approximately 12 billion Syrian ponds, which can reduce 3265 tons of carbon dioxide annually.
