🔴 Dr. Taama was born in Homs in 1969

🔴 He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aleppo in 1992

🔴 He holds a PhD in Energy Engineering from the Polytechnic University / Bucharest

🔴 He holds a higher degree in Public Administration from the National Institute of Public Administration in Damascus INA.

🔴 He progressed in his career since his appointment in the Ministry of Oil 1992-1993 until he held the position of Assistant Minister of Electricity for Sector Organization Affairs from 2021 in the Ministry of Electricity until he was appointed Minister of Electricity pursuant to the decree issued today, September 23, 2024, which stipulates the formation of the new ministry.

🔴 He held many local and international positions, including:

🔸Syria's representative in the Executive Office of the Arab Renewable Energy Authority since 2021

🔸Syria's representative in the International Renewable Energy Agency IRENA since 2022

🔸Chairman of the Central Energy Committee in the Central Engineers Syndicate since 2023.

🔸Holder of a certified expert certificate in energy management from the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency - Beirut 2019

🔸Participated in many scientific conferences and activities

🔸Lecturer and trainer in the fields of energy and public administration

🔸Speaks three languages: English, French and Romanian.
